Έχω δυο καλούς και ... ψαγμένους φίλους-καλιτέχνες που ασχολούνται με το Νουάρ κι θεώρησα καλό να τους διαφημίσω διότι είμαι απόλυτα πεπεισμένος ότι αξίζουν της προσοχής σας και τα έργα τους μέσω Ιντερνετ είναι προσιτά για κάθε βαλάντιο.
Αυτοί που ξέρουν και αγαπούν το Νουάρ θα τους λατρέψουν !!!! Οι άλλοι ... ας τα δουν σαν έργα τέχνης, αυτό που ακριβώς είναι.
Προτίθεμαι να τους ζητήσω ν' αφήσουν κάποιο σχόλιο στο τέλος με μερικά ενημερωτικά στοιχεία για την δουλειά τους - στ' Αγγλικά - κι είμαι σίγουρος ότι θα το κάνουν με την σεμνότητα που τους διακρίνει. Τα έργα τους είναι ΚΑΤΑΠΛΗΚΤΙΚΑ με διαφορετικό ύφος και στυλ ο καθένας.

Thank you so much for posting about my art! I am inspired by classic film noir. The pictures are full of romantic longing, adventure, glamour, and beauty. Populated with femme and homme fatales, they evoke photographs a private detective might take through a window, espying people in some forbidden situation. Imagination gives life richness and meaning, and it is in the unspoken story in my art the incomplete narrative that our imagination lies.
ReplyDeleteΣας ευχαριστώ πολύ που δημοσιεύσατε για την τέχνη μου! Εμπνέομαι από την κλασική ταινία noir. Οι εικόνες είναι γεμάτες ρομαντική λαχτάρα, περιπέτεια, αίγλη και ομορφιά. Συγκεντρωμένες με θανάσιμα femme και homme, προκάλεσαν φωτογραφίες που ένας ιδιωτικός ντετέκτιβ μπορεί να τραβήξει μέσα από ένα παράθυρο, κατασκοπεύοντας ανθρώπους σε κάποια απαγορευμένη κατάσταση. Η φαντασία δίνει πλούτο και νόημα στη ζωή, και στην αόρατη ιστορία της τέχνης μου είναι η ατελής αφήγηση που βρίσκεται η φαντασία μας.
Thanks for sharing my Film Noir Art. I re-discovered my love of drawing having neglected it for many years making a living working in Graphic Design and Art Directing. But what to draw? It was a no-brainer for me. I’ve had a lifelong love of film – Hitchcock, Kubrick, Film Noir – and that seemed to be the obvious choice. When I’m approaching a new drawing I’ll watch the film a few times, make sketches, read the source novel and research online, looking for that angle that will give me the essence of the story. I’m not interested in doing film star portraits – that’s just too easy and would bore me. So join me down these Mean Streets and enjoy the stuff that dreams are made of (and some nightmares).
